This is a site that chronicles my experiences relating to www.googletreasurechest.com, also it hopefully will serve as a warning to to the consumer to be very careful if you consider signing up for Google Treasure Chest's misleading tactics. The Google Treasure Chest site is in no way endorsed by Google.
I was a victim of this scam!
I was a victim of the Google Treasure Chest Scam. I can tell you from experience that they are unscrupulous con artists and my advice is "Stay Away from them". Do be very wary of any offers that toot the "Google" name as part of their offer as they are not connected with the "Google" search engine.

Federal Trade Commission handles complaints about businesses that abuse consumers.
IC3 IC3 accepts online Internet crime complaints from either the person who believes they were defrauded or from a third party to the complainant. A combination of FBI, National White Collar Crime Center and Bureau of Justice Assistance.

Utah BBB A lot of the addresses for GTC originate in Utah

New developements on Negative Option
News Flash!!
Apparently some of our complaints to FTC are raising a red flag on the use of the negative option that these con artists are using in their cons. Seems the FTC are going to consider new restrictions on the usage of the negative option.

Please go and file your comments on how negative option has been abused in your situation. The last time they reviewed the use of advance consent/negative option they decided the regulations in place at that time were adequate and did not change anything, so they definitely need to be prodded by the irate consumer now to change some of the regulations since con artists have found a way to abuse it. They have a place to file your comments. They are taking comments until July, 2009. If enough of us go file our comments on how we were abused by Google Treasure Chest's use with the negative option maybe something will get done.
